John Allen Mann Jr. was born on September 26, 1932 to John Allen and Nellie Lourie (Herron) Mann. He was raised in Miami County, Ohio. After being discharged, John returned to Miami County, Ohio. He was employed by the BF Goodrich Corporation for several years. He then joined the Stolle Corporation and worked in time study.
He later moved to the Copeland Corporation, where he was employed for 37 years.
For many years he was a supervisor in the Standards and Specifications Department and acted as the liaison between Copeland, the Canadian Standards Association, and Underwriter's Laboratory.
John married Rosalyn Johnston in 1957 and settled in Shelby County, Ohio. Four children were born to this union. John died on August 6, 2016.
