EDWARD L MANN SR.

Edward Louis Mann Sr, born January 6, 1937, was the second son born to John Allen and Nellie Lourie (Herron) Mann.  He was raised in Miami County, Ohio.  


The family home was a log cabin that had been plastered and sided.  Edward and his brother John enjoyed activities such as hunting and fishing that were common to rural life.



Edward married Cynthia Ann Clark in 1958 and settled in Piqua, OH.  He was a member of St. Paul United Church of Christ, the Living Word Fellowship Church, and was involved in many civic activities.

After completing high school in Covington, Ohio, "Ed" went to work at French Oil Mill in Piqua, OH.  In this employ, he served as a Production Control Clerk for many years.





Ed was was a member of the Volksmarch Association and a founder of the Pickawillany Walkers.


He was active with the Lions Club for many years, serving as the District Governor, President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Zone Chairman.  He was also a recipient of the distinguished Melvin Jones award.


Edward married Cynthia Ann Clark in 1958 and settled in Piqua, Ohio.  He died on August 8, 2017.
